Overall Objectives

Prairies is a new Marie Curie Reasearch Training Network (RTN) in FP6, devoted to gain a basic understanding and develop protocols for the controlled fabrication of organic nanopatterned surface networks featuring hosting properties, ultimately targeting the construction of superior organic materials for nanotechnological devices.
This will be accomplished via gaining a full control over the psyco-chemical properties of the complex architectures constructed from a diverstity of different functional molecules.
In such a way, synthetic materials with controlled nanoscopic properties, which eventually should be switchable in response to a specific external stimulus, will be implemented.
